The message from the White House this morning is that, once again, it falls on ordinary American citizens to remain calm and professional when dealing with the heavily armed agents of the government because they are very emotional and might fly off into a murderous rage at the slightest insult.

New York turned out, as always. So sick and heartened at the same time.

How US immigration raids hurt summer pleasures, from berries to barbecues In the US, hardly a food is untouched by immigrant labor – and Ice raids will profoundly affect the food labor system

A key reminder for the food movement. “Cruelty and dehumanization are the points of Trump’s immigration schemes. We must not lose sight of this while protesting raids in food spaces.” @loriflores.bsky.social

I want you guys to understand something. There aren't 65 million immigrants in this country, but there are 65 million Latinos.

They're using the same language and tactics they once used against Black people and Indigenous people.

This is ethnic cleansing.

Here’s the thing.

If you don’t like the fun and the challenge of

1. Reading widely
2. Going to archives
3. Searching for new sources
4. Playing around with book structure
5. Writing and revising

Why are you even writing a nonfiction history book?

Fame? 😆
Money? 🤣

I just don’t get it.

TRUMP NOW SAYING DEPORTING GOOD FARM AND HOTEL WORKERS IS A BAD IDEA 🤔

Suddenly he now realizes this… and ties himself into a pretzel to justify it. (Why just farms and hotels? Spoiler: donors called)

Columbia bylaws state that the president can only send police on campus to arrest protestors after consulting with the university senate. Once again, the president has neglected to follow these rules, which have been in place since 1968.

The real #Coachella isn't a music festival. It's hard working farm workers who are out laboring to harvest crops. Farm workers like Cruz who shared this photo of the green pepper harvest and Salvador who shared this photo from the dates. #WeFeedYou

Not sure who needs to hear this, but any govt official who violates someone's constitutional rights -- and is acting outside the scope of their lawful authority -- can be PERSONALLY liable in a civil suit.

ICE officers. Cabinet members. White House staffers. Even the president.

My 10 year old sister and I got Social Security payments after my father died from exposure to Agent Orange. It helped my widowed mom when the family lost his income. He paid into it his whole life. They even took it from his check while he was serving in Vietnam. Jeanine can go fuck herself.
