Long-winded way to say that while I think Chicago Pope is fun, and he's a great entry in the Chicago TV universe, he's still the pope of the literal catholic church, and they don't serve my kind, to put it mildly, even if he himself seems like someone I could caucus with here and there.

If you're brought up Catholic and stop going to church around college age, you ideally get just enough apologetics under your belt that you never feel the need to do it ever again in a serious way.
