Listen up - a speech crafted by our own Prime Minister that calls on us to take the blinders off and realize the old ways/relationships of the past are no more. Like it or not - we must adapt. This is true leadership. Thank you @markcarneyforpm.bsky.social

Just the right amount of sweets.
Just the right amount of money earned.
Just the right balance between work and living…
In other words - living in balance. This is something I strive to bring home with me ❤️🇨🇦🇸🇪
I have learned so much here - but the most important lesson was an unexpected one, revolving around lagom. A Swedish word translating roughly to “just the right amount” which is applied to everyday life so naturally here.

Tea time in London - first stop on family vacay!
Good - this is absurd. Canada is literally the canary in the coal mine being killed by climate impacts generated not only by us - but global emissions. Time to look in the mirror and start there…

Shame on the US Members of Congress who “blamed Canada” for ruining their constituents summers due to increased wildfire smile (tiffany.house.gov/sites/evo-su...). Maybe stem the flow of carbon and methane from your own neck of the woods if you don’t like the fallout
Only 113 hours remaining until sabbatical…not that I’m counting
Shout out to the crews and forecasters on the front lines this past weekend keeping an eye on river levels to keep us safe #floods #hydrometrics

I was recently interviewed by the Gravity well podcast crew about the hydrological cycle and how we do predictions. Details here: www.linkedin.com/posts/jenny-...
Sadly this discourages #transdisciplinary research and exploration of science “at the fringes”
