We loved the franchise for decades & this slop is only Trek in name! SFA makes discovery look like a work of art!

Yeah I do get that aspect of it also. But when you see Stephen Miller saying it's trash and woke and I'm like if this was classic maybe he'd realise he was a prick if the message was subtle 😄

We have lower decks & SNW that are quirky. What about seasoned fans who appreciate subtle messages about conflict resolution & diversity without it being solved with speaking plants? ST is & always has been my favourite franchise, this, on most part, doesn't appease us. I respect some do however.

Latest episode of SF Academy had easily some of the best parts of the series so far and easily the worst. I'm now convinced people saying they love this are just trying to be edgy and poke the trolls. The show is utterly irredeemable now and the only decent part about it was seeing Jake Sisko again!

Indeed. Although I doubt they'd want to explore another ship being stranded in the delta quadrant again as it's been done. Part of the reason I think DS9 and Voyager are my favourite shows is down to the morally questionable things that happened. 'In the pale moonlight' is my best Trek episode ever!

Sounds like a few episodes in DS9 and Voyager. Could have an "USS Equinox" series and explore the steps to eventually committing torture... some would say they were watching Star Fleet Academy and it tipped them over the edge...

Garak, Shran, Q and Dukat are my favourite characters in Star Trek, main cast aside. If I had to pick my favourite I'd say Garak just about pips Shran to the top spot!

Are they not supposed to be the elite? Holy Hunter is decent enough, as is Picardo, Notaro & Giamatti. The rest, dreadful!

Why has everyone in the 32nd century resorted to playground insults, flipping the bird & using phrases like "dude"? They've absolutely decimated what Star Trek is about. We now resolve conflict with pranks, whereas even in TOS a romulan commander told Kirk in another time they may have been friends!

Better not say that on this platform... you'll be accused on here of being a ring wing zealot. But you are indeed correct, the show is absolutely dreadful. I'm not even sure who it appeals to. I'm all in favour for bringing in new fans, but not alienating those of us who stuck around for decades.

Okay I'm going to say it... I preferred DISCO to this show. That's how bad it is. I'd say this third episode was possibly the worst Trek episode in the entire franchise... including Beverly Crusher and the space ghost sex!!
