I ended up going with Myers because I already have a Pevear & Volokhonsky translation of a different Dostoevsky book (Crime and Punishment), and I figured that I'll just get a variety of translators in my library.

If you’re wondering what’s on my mind at 5pm on a Tuesday, it’s deciding which translation of Dostoevsky’s The Idiot to get: Pevear & Volokhonsky or Myers. Decisions decisions!

A Minecraft Movie is a fascinating mix of goofy boy memes & Napoleon Dynamite. I did not expect Jason Momoa to basically be a hybrid of Uncle Rico & Billy Mitchell. Also, in a theater full of boys, it was the craziest crowd since Avengers Endgame. Finally, here’s a goofy promo bucket.

Welcome to 2025! We started things off by drinking sparkling wine that my son won from a dancing contest in Mexico.

We've also watched 3 versions of A Christmas Carol: Scrooge McDuck, Jim Carrey and Muppets.

Our Xmas movies so far: Red One, Die Hard, Home Alone, A Christmas Story and Elf.

There’s a crazy DC comics sale. Any recommendations? The last major DC story I read was Snyder’s Batman run for New 52. A work pal already pointed me to Waid’s World’s Finest run.
