Home from a great week in Taipei! +2,159 for the trip which comes out to about 308 stops a day on average. Trips like this are really the thing that keeps me playing the game, so here's to hoping for lots more in 2025!

A belated start to Sightseerer 2025, but 9 days in Taiwan should let us put up some numbers! Place your bets!

And it could have been more! I lost a lot of days to travel, light areas and weather at the end!

I would have liked to get those haha but it was a tricky town to navigate!

I didn't keep up with the daily updates, but when all is said and done we missed out on +2,000 for the trip to Athens by about 90 stops. We did cross the+12,000 mark for the year though! Unlikely that we push to 40k this year, but it'll be easy while we're in Taipei in February!

Our first real milestone of the trek as we depart from Crete and start our time in Athens. Feels pretty wild to turn down a random street and find a building older than Jesus Christ just chilling there, but I'm kind of into it.

Great day exploring Heraklion and a modest +134 on the badge. Sightseer gains have been modest, but the food has been fantastic. We'll clean up the remaining stops here tomorrow morning and then off to Athens for the remainder of the trip!

Light day one in Heraklion with +171 as we explored the old city areas and eat some of the iconic Cretan dishes like this fantastic cheese and filo pie. Calling it now. Big day tomorrow.

No big moves early on. +44 on a morning walk through the cozy beach town of Artemida. Grabbed some stellar greek pastries for breakfast and enjoyed the vibes. On to Crete this afternoon!

I'm tired. I don't have much to show for being awake for 24+ hours straight, but here's some Greek Donuts. Off to Crete tomorrow and the Sightseer begins in earnest.

No duds on the in-flight movie choices to Munich! Sleep might have been the smart choice, but when do I make smart choices? One more flight to Athens and then, hopefully, some rest.
