That blows my mind.
I think if you put "influencer" in your resume or bio, every child under the age of 10 should get to hit you like a pinata
Check out the Aadam Jacobs Collection on the Internet Archive if you haven't. Currently around 2,500 recordings from Chicago since the '80s, many of which have never been heard before.
Nirvana, Phish, Neutral Milk Hotel, Sonic Youth, Slint, The Breeders, and so much more!
That makes sense.

Wildlife trade drives animal-to-human pathogen transmission over 40 years
New in @science.org ‼️ In the most comprehensive study to date, we show that wildlife trade is driving animal-to-human zoonotic spillover at a planetary scale, with +1 spillover per host every 10 years. Live animal markets and illegal trade pose even greater risks. 🔓 www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

An Earthset, captured by the four astronauts of the Artemis II mission during Monday’s lunar flyby. See more photos released on Tuesday by NASA. nyti.ms/47IKYHQ
Mamdani is not just filling the potholes with the crew. He's creating a visual and personal reminder of the dignity inherent in all of these anonymous government jobs.
The NASA #Artemis II tracking website: www.nasa.gov/missions/art...
It includes a nice moveable visualization of the Moon, the spacecraft, the Sun, and the Earth, so you can get a feel for the relative positions of them all.
The Artemis 2 mission reminding me that we need more wonder in our culture. Go awe at something, people.
The Moon as seen by Artems II on 4 April 2026. Mare Orientale is seen side on as the feature narrow feature on the right limb of the Moon, just past the darker blob of crater Grimaldi.
OK this is cool. The first time humans have seen the whole Mare Orientale on the far side of the Moon with their own eyes. See flic.kr/p/2s5HA2X 🧪🔭
NASA just dropped this image of Artemis II astronaut Christina Koch looking back at us. The first woman to ever see our planet in its entirety. I’m not crying you’re crying 🥹🔭🧪 📸: NASA

New York City’s public hospital system announced that it would not be renewing its contract with Palantir as controversy mounts in the UK over the data analytics and AI firm’s government contract
so potentially dumb #F1 thought, because the most complicated car thing I've ever done is change break rotors: from a purely technical standpoint, the "fix" for the regs is to bring back the MGU-H, no?
Actual passes and good racing. At Suzuka. I don't give a shit what you tell me, this is miraculous. #F1

Today on #BetwixtTheSheets, I am talking to the marvellous Lisa Stein Haven about her research on the life and controversies of Charlie Chaplin.
just talked at an AI and music conference at IU Bloomington and I’m happy to report that every student I talked to is militantly radicalized against suno so that’s nice
A rectangular piece of bone with a pair of skirted figures with high wings, carrying torches side-by-side. A small window is visible at the top.
One of the officers on the Mary Rose owned this small bone panel featuring figures dressed as angels carrying torches.
Similar panels are known from caskets made in Venice, and along with other continental objects, so it is thought that this particular gentleman was Italian.
man, it's such a privilege that we have @peterdwindsor.bsky.social on YT sharing his F1 knowledge. I'm in awe when he gets into it
time to watch Stop Making Sense yet again
Yes, hello, is that God? Yeah, hi. I have a complaint. You gave me this brain that’s designed for finding berries and avoiding lions and now people are ‘just circling back’ to see if we can ‘move the needle’ on ‘key initiatives’? NONE of those things are berries.
