I am saying blaming the voter for something that is a systemic issue - with both the political system and having media report falsehoods on a massive scale during the Ampel-Koalition - gets you nowhere.

I do not see how that is ignoring reality.

On technicalities only, German voters do not directly vote cabinett members into office. Parliament does. I am not saying voting for the CDU was not a stupid decision, but I do not think blaming the voter for what we experience right now is the right call. This is a systemic issue.

German voters voted for a break with previous policy. They did not vote for a gas lobbyist as energy minister.

I think it was clear something like this would happen but I do not think that understanding was the case for the majority of Germans, who broadly support policies fighting climate change!
