To give you an idea of how terrible I am at gardening: I planted zucchini in like April. It is now July, and not only am I NOT drowning in zucchini, I have 0 zucchini. (I do have a couple of blossoms, though!)

We tried violin. We tried flute. They didn't quite take. So this Fall for homeschool music, I'mm'a just hand 'em a guitar and a bunch of YouTube videos and let 'em play! (Since they're already getting bonus sneaky music history in social studies...heh...)

This curriculum does a nice job of not going, "OOPS all Western history!" too, so it's extra fun! BUT ALSO! 4 units on the middle ages? *froths at the mouth*

Not me sneakily turning my kid's "Ancient History" homeschool curriculum into a music history course... 😅

An adorable family of deer have been hanging out in our yard all day, and probably I should be doing something to protect my plants from them, but nah - I'm growing deer now. (Actually they're mostly interested in our invasive honeysuckle, which - EAT UP, FRIENDS!!!)

Sometimes I look at what's trending here just to keep abreast of current events. Today I saw that "nuggets" was trending. NUGGETS??? I LOVE nuggets!!! Turned out to be a sports thing. Huge letdown.
