Mine has been working great stateside as well. I guess conditions have been very favourable for me.

I didn't think about anything before deploying that antenna, just used the available space and my VHF/UHF mast as the high point.

My antenna slops down towards Seattle (North).
And Australia would be on my Left side, when facing North.

So it seems it is parallel to Australia.....
