It was a pleasure being a guest on Candid Contributions. Thanks @lottepitcher.bsky.social & @emaburst.bsky.social for considering me π€
Feel free to use the wheel I manually inputted for your own office or meetup game: wheelofnames.com/vv6-t4r
Today at @pixelbuilders.bsky.social we brought a little bit of #umbraco #codegarden back to the office with a little game of BUNGO with swag for prizes. We had people win the hoodie, shirt, socks, hats & umbraCoffee coffee. 3 rounds, lots of fun π
This just happened... High Fived my son... His response... You guessed it... "You Rock" ππ #H5YR
Thank you @umbraco.umbracocommunity.social.ap.brid.gy and the #umbraco community for an awesome #codegarden week. Can't believe it's time to leave this beautiful country. Hope everyone arrives home safe and sound. #H5YR you awesome people!
Can't believe I met the famous Sophie from the login screen! Thanks @joe.gl π

Mind blown! Just found out at X years old that you can run Lucene queries right in the #umbraco backoffice!
@codesharepaul.bsky.social Legend for implementing this during a hackathon and PR'ing it into core. Can't tell you how useful this is to me working on a multisite solution and only having a single domain at my disposal
#Umbraco v8 upgrades... I'm doing a meetup talk next month demo'ing v8 to v15, what to consider, pitfalls, etc. Based on your own experience, what stands out for you as things which require rework?
i.e. Nested content > Block list, Html.Action > View components, Umbraco Forms themes...
Thanks π
So sorry for your loss. Thinking of you all π’

Had a great time at @umbracospark.bsky.social Learned so much and great seeing new and known members of the community. Until the next time! βοΈ
Very different to my templated response π
I skipped from Client Drawer v1 to v13, preferring a clear view: Umbraco package v13 = Umbraco v13 compatibility. Version guessing can be tricky when thatβs not the case IMO. Contentmentβs an exception given it's known cross version compatibility.
Frantically nominating people before the 12am CET deadline #umbraco
We (@pixelbuilders.bsky.social) are going to @umbracospark.bsky.social for the first time!

Asked Google Gemini and ChatGPT how long to cook a 2.5kg turkey crown in a 200c oven. ChatGPT wins with the estimation of 2 hours. Meanwhile, Gemini tried to kill us with 1.15 hours π

OK, here's a short and silly Christmas song called "Gingerbread Man." The Gingerbread Man, he was baked with care, With buttons for eyes and sprinkles for hair. He hopped in the oven, a sweet little guy, And now he's a cookie, ready to fly! Chorus: Oh, the Gingerbread Man, he's yummy and sweet, A tasty treat for everyone to eat! He's spicy and crunchy, a Christmas delight, Let's nibble his buttons and buttons so bright! The Gingerbread Man, he's friends with the elves, They decorate cookies, all by themselves. With frosting and candy, they make them so grand, The best-tasting cookies in all the whole land! Chorus: Oh, the Gingerbread Man, he's yummy and sweet, A tasty treat for everyone to eat! He's spicy and crunchy, a Christmas delight, Let's nibble his buttons and buttons so bright!
Just asked #GeminiApp to write a Christmas song, I quite like it!
I'm sure @codebuntes.bsky.social may be able to help with something, maybe!??

Great read Rick!
Not bad! Picked up this really nice bike from a guy on gumtree. Listed for Β£29, he offered Β£25, I gave him Β£30. I'm not sure I understand this haggling malarkey π
In a world with Uber, Deliveroo, Amazon and DPD they have the technology but many choose to ignore it. Forgive me, but they just need a phone to ping an API every 10 seconds with a location, combine with the delivery schedule, put it in a UI and boom you have yourself a new customer experience π€·ββοΈ
I've only had an account for a few days and noticed I'm getting many random bot accounts follow me. That been said, looks like a few have been disabled since.
In order of most used: X, LinkedIn, Mastodon & now BlueSky (may overtake Mastodon in time depending on how well it is adopted by umbraco folk). I also use Facebook, but rarely and for separate uses.
It's like looking at a picture of my laptop π
