my biggest pet peeve around LLMs is when people (usually those invested in its success) call it “intelligent”. it definitionally, how it functions on a base level, is not intelligent. the way LLMs are built, it can never hit real intelligence. it’s just predictive

I like how every study that tries to prove AI is being adopted at scale is like “jobs that AI might be able to do a small amount of are sort of affected” and every other study on AI use is “adoption is low” and “it doesn’t really work reliably or in a way with measurable outcomes”

in nightmare kart the narration text between each level was originally planned on being voiced, but we ended up cutting it for time / resource reasons. because of that, streamers started reading the text aloud in their own voice that they felt best fit the vibe. it was beautiful. theres no excuse.
