New prototype: Jincheng Theater (金城戲院) from Mailiao, Yunlin County.

Lots of lovely patterned ventilation bricks in this one!

Ah, is that related to the (very impressive) renders done by GN3D?

Yes Tianwaitian easily had more than enough historical and architectural significance to merit saving, as decrepit as it already was at time of demolition.
At least it was able to be thoroughly documented beforehand.

And here are some photos of their real-life counterparts.

Sadly, Tianwaitian has now become a parking lot since these were taken...

A product photo of 3 miniature models of Taiwanese cinemas arrayed in a fan. The background is in total darkness and the buildings are in the light. A hand is reaching down and grabbing the middle building to give a sense of scale.

Some famous Taiwanese theaters recreated in miniature:

- Beidou Yuandong Theater (北斗遠東戲院), in Changhua,
- The now-demolished Tianwaitian Theater (天外天劇場) in central Taichung
- Jinsha Theater (金沙戲院) in Kinmen
