Usually when a grave snail is killed the host's family will want as much of the body as they can get back so a cleansing ritual can be performed or at the very least the body can be reburied

They arent heat resistant so that strategy could work but it might not be a popular option. A common belief in the Bestiary world is that if a monster's influence corrupts you body it will corrupt your soul as well.
