Game Design News – Death on the Styx and 20 Years of Kobold Press It’s been a while since I’ve posted any game design news but I’ve got a few new things to share today.  Firstly, the exciting project I worked on for Kobold Press last summer was announced last weekend at Kobold Con. Death on the Styx is a series of nine connected adventures spanning 3rd to 11th level (tiers 1–3) that take place in the many worlds of the Labyrinth that connect to the River Styx.

Tomb of Annihilation Session 30 – Mission Impossible Here’s the write up from our latest Tomb of Annihilation session, in which the characters continued exploring the ruined city of Omu in search of the nine puzzle cubes they need to enter the Tomb of the Nine Gods. Begin here with Session 0 – Caves of the Cockatrice 29th Nightal, 1495 DR (contd.) After fleeing from the clay gladiators, the adventurers have a short rest outside Shagambi’s shrine.

Tomb of Annihilation Session 28 – Dwellers of the Forbidden City Here’s the write up from our latest Tomb of Annihilation session, in which the characters began to explore the ruined city of Omu and I got to use my froghemoth mini for the first time 🙂 Begin here with Session 0 – Caves of the Cockatrice 28th Nightal, 1495 DR (contd.) The adventurers walk south around the clifftops overlooking Omu to the stone steps at the far side, opposite the waterfall.

Ten TTRPG Goals for 2026 This time last year I posted a list of Ten TTRPG Goals for 2025 and managed to complete eight out of ten which I’m very happy with! Here’s my (aspirational) list for 2026, including a few that I’m carrying over because they’re still relevant or I didn’t manage to do them. Tomb of Annihilation Session 27 – Hunted by the Longtooths Here’s the write up from our latest Tomb of Annihilation session, in which the characters at last reached the forbidden city of Omu. I used material from Encounters in the Jungles of Chult again this session. Begin here with Session 0 – Caves of the Cockatrice 16th Nightal, 1495 DR  The party return to the Weeping Grove and present the severed heads of the two Longtooth weretigers to the wilden.

Did everyone enjoy Dragonmeet? What was everyone's opinions on the new venue?

The food place we went to ran out of most of the veggie options. Quite a few of the food places on the main concourse were closed which meant some long queues at the ones that were open but handy to have these places on site.

I enjoyed it (as always) but the size of the venue did make it harder to bump into people you knew. The RPG room we were in was chilly but we could hear the GM well and there was a good view of the river.
