A cedar waxwing perched on a horizontal branch in my redbud, with a blurred out spruce tree behind it. His back is towards me, such that the yellow tip of his tail, and red "wax" on his wings is visible. His head is turned to the left, giving a profile view of his black mask. I have referred to the bird as a male, but actually don't know if it is male or female.

A wee Carolina Wren perched on top of my Metalbird chickadee ornament, facing the same direction, to the right side of the image. It is a cinnamon brown colour with a white eye stripe, cocked up tail, and slight down curved bill. Behind the real and fake birds is my snow covered gray privacy fence.
