I know it's already getting beaten to death this morning but the Army casualty figures from WWII are still stunning. 85% of hospital admissions were from disease, not injury. Imagine wanting to put flu back in the barracks.

I had thought b did that from her own crop, but either I haven't found the seeds or she used the last for last year's seedlings that never got into the ground (she ran out of energy but didn't tell me so I couldn't help).
Round yellow or pear-shaped yellow? The latter is one b grew, though not as good as the huge purple (non-cherry) tomatoes.
I am already behind schedule: she would start seedlings in the basement under lights by mid-Feb so they'd be ready to plant outdoors after last frost date, 30 April. So I just won't get them as early this year as she did. I'll be happy just to get some in my first try.
I'm going to try the heritage varieties b grew, most of which are oddly shaped or oddly coloured. Couldn't find her tomato seeds (lots of other seeds, just not those), but found Canadian small sellers via Seeds of Diversity, an org she supported.

Years ago I decided that taking one day off after travel to recover, do laundry, etc, was an overall gain in work efficiency for the week following a trip. I highly recommend this strategy! Also I am terrible at actually implementing it and I may need to file a formal complaint against myself.

Though I haven't been able to travel for a year and a half and I am more exhausted than I ever was after a trip, save perhaps the one with the wee-hours derailment near the end.
