but irene and yongsun is the closer depiction of kjera and enya. irene, a goddess, is yongsun's handmaiden just like how kjera is enya's head maid.

the amount of mental gymnastics my 2 braincells had to do for this is borderline insanity but it was all fueled by my hyperfocus 🤣 it has derailed far from the actual story of kjeragandr and her saintess, but everything is all because of kjera being a 5-star instead of 6-star despite being a goddess

but when sodam (1820) died outside moo town, the blessing didn't return to the mountain spirit. it instead latched on people who carried the same love for their homeland like sodam's. this explains list of names from different places, implied by taeyeon in ch16, and confirmed by sodam (1950) in ch17

i also made the second entry explicitly say that it's a diary from Mr. Han's family, to further elaborate that there had been different Uri Juuins across time prior to the park sodam that yongsun met in 1820s (3rd entry).

in kjerag, they send out maidens to walk a pilgrimage to the mountains. i made it where it's the mountain spirit choice who to bless based on their love for the town. this way, the blessing can be given to different people and not only locked to one bloodline (e.g. irene and yong's bloodline)--

this gave me the idea of sodam being blessed by the mountain spirit, moo town's "god". in the codex chapter, i wrote parts of what the blessing entailed. whenever sodam leaves the boundary of moo town, the blessing lays dormant until she's back in moo town again. as for the selection,--

while feranmuts live long lives (thousands of years), kjeragandr is considered a young feranmut. she's very powerful within the bounds of Kjerag, the country. outside that, she still retains her "power" but is greatly limited. (she's a FREE 5 star operator lol)--

next was explaining why wheein houses a part of sodam's soul. i didn't want it to be too cliche (wheein being sodam's granddaughter). then i remembered Kjera.

follow me down this line of thought lol Kjera is the goddess Kjeragandr, but the in-game term is she's Kjeragandr's proxy or human form.

after i drafted ch 5-7, i had to brainstorm sodam's backstory without disregarding the opening scene of the original oneshot. instead of making sodam have the same 9 lives like yong, i had to make her a different entity altogether; not entirely a goddess, but more like divine-touched.--

some fun fact about my fic: the concept of the Mountain Spirit and the Uri Juuin is actually inspired by Kjeragandr and the Saintess in Arknights. In the game, Kjeragandr is a feranmut (a god-like entity) that is worshipped by the people of Kjerag and her body is said to be the mountain. --

the way une vie a t'mier was played in e33 is definitely one of the best things that happened in gaming history
