Nice, that sounds like a fun setup

It’s slightly out of view, but I’m playing a keyboard here like a real musician for once. The Minilogue is making the spacey filter sweep stuff. The Eurorack is doing the rhythm and melody.
Not my best patch, but maybe my most successful use of chaos (not randomness) to date.
It never repeats, just follows its own logic, getting stuck in weird states for minutes at a time before falling back out.
My favorite part is when Braids makes the weird baby sounds.

Expanding on ideas from yesterday’s patch, I took things a little further and got weird with it.
I updated the firmware on Pamela’s New Workout. Here I’ve set boolean logic conditions on the top row of outputs, which are rotated by an external CV source.

I accidentally made some weird modular synth funk. Everything is controlled by by Pam’s sending low-probability trig (2% chance) and CV patterns. The voices run through two long tempo-synced delay loops with 100% feedback, creating slowly developing patterns.
Playing at the D.M.V. in Denver this Friday. Show starts at 8pm and I’m up first. My practice runs have been going good and the lineup is great. Looking forward to it!

Percussion from the Serge VCFQ, mangled birdsongs on the Bastl Wavebard, watery splashes from the Phonogene, and Mutable Elements providing some angular banjo. Sounds good to me.
Just heard the other tracks on this 4-way split for the first time and they’re great! Very happy to have a track on this one.
Home sick from work and made this. 92 BPM (slow for me) jam with FM synthesis, physical modeling, and filter pings on the Eurorack.
I expanded my Arduino Wave Bard controller with two additional mutating shift registers, LEDs, and a randomize button that resets the number of steps and beats in the Euclidean rhythm as well as the patterns in the shift registers. Sometimes the results are musical, sometimes not so much.
I'm no expert either, but I think most Ethio-jazz is modal. mulatuastatke.bandcamp.com/album/mulatu...
I made an Arduino controller for my Bastl Wave Bard. It generates Euclidean rhythms and Turing Machine style CV with repeating sequences that slowly shift over time.

A new Now Age Radio, guest hosted by hlao, is out today on MixCloud. There’s a track of mine in the mix along with a bunch of other really cool stuff. Listening now and really enjoying it.

Joyeux anniversaire to French composer Éliane Radigue (b.1932) who turns an incredible 94 years of age today! Her work is proof that subtlety can be seismic, and that the smallest shift can change everything. Long live sustained tones, deep attention and Éliane Radigue!
This administration is cooked. Literally no one is scared of them.

Minneapolis Live Updates: Man Killed by Federal Agents Was Holding a Phone, Not a Gun Videos analyzed by The New York Times appear to contradict federal accounts of the shooting. The man, an I.C.U. nurse, was an American citizen with no criminal record, the city police chief said.

Here’s a modular patch building on ideas from yesterday’s post. It expanded from an initial setup with Pamela’s New Workout controlling MI Elements.

It’s freezing out, so I skipped my usual lunchtime run and threw this together real quick. Just two modules, Pam’s New Workout and MI Elements, plus the Wave Bard. Really liking the bird samples on the Wave Bard here. Definitely going to explore this setup more.
