There's a reason Super Metroid is my favorite in the series and potentially my favorite game of all time. It, to me, is an incredibly rare perfect game.

The closest things to official sequels from that era would be the Gameboy Advance games, Metroid Fusion and Metroid: Zero Mission (a remake of the first Metroid game). That being said, there are tons of rom hacks, fan games, and randomizers for Super Metroid that might as well be new games.

I'm gonna spend more time on the customization screen than in the actual game, I'm afraid.
