Duplicitous fiends & rotten bastards?!?!?!
Idk about you, but that sounds like the start of an incredibly eventful & exciting party, kinda want to go to it...
Alternatively, "say hi to find out!"?
Also this is a day late because I am a functional game designer like that.
For everyone who is interested and hasn't signed up yet, here's the link with deets.

I am extremely happy to see a lot of interest in playtesting the Dagger Isles. It's something me, the team at Evil Hat, and all of the contributors - folks from Southeast Asia - are very proud of.
I do, however, have one thing to say.
Am very excited about the new version tho. Looking forward to having clearer rules for a game I love but struggle with, and eager to study it & take inspiration from for my own design & layout.
I was recently telling a friend about how I found a particular game to really poorly explained its rules, especially compared to the designer's next game.
I've been reading the old version. . . The game has been updated, with clarified rules & improved layout.
Guess I need to get the new version.
Guessing that none of them have ever actually done anything to harm other trans people (& that the cis woman is Benjanun Sriduangkaew), because that seems the way these things always go.
Thanatopolitics is the politics of death; or rather how the state controls, regulates, and dispenses how, when, and why people die.
Very much related to Foucault's Biopolitics.
My brand of thantopolitics. 💯
What do you mean 'transform' into a swamp fairy???
You're telling me that you're not *actually* one?
(You look amazing btw!)
Happy birthday, hope you had a nice day!!! (Pls ignore that I am late)
Vampire GF art collection/zine when???

Man, this succinctly describes how fucking obnoxious using tech is in 2024
Today on the blog I dig into the house style of first party adventures across a variety of modern TTRPG systems, and discuss how they influence the way in which we write for different games.

Two zines side by side. On the left, BODIES IN FLIGHT shows an illustration of a bronze dragon fighting a pair of peasants on the side of a cliff. On the right, BEYOND THE DROWNED SPIRE has a blue typographical cover, with the title words seeming to sink through water beside a light blue illustration of a jellyfish.
It's FLASH SALE SATURDAY!
For the next 24 hours my OSR adventures BODIES IN FLIGHT and BEYOND THE DROWNED SPIRE are buy one get one free! Just £8 for two system neutral adventures, 120 pages of dungeons, dragons, demons, and watery cultists.

The correct term for "designing a non-linear TTRPG dungeon space" is "Jaquaysing".
This post cites Jennell's own statements about how she wished to be attributed---essentially, that *her name be spelled correctly*:

Shortly before TTRPG designer Jennell Jaquays died, OSR blogger Justin Alexander, who once named Jennell's dungeon drawing techniques after her, started trying to erase her legacy, and rename that style after himself.
I reject Justin's bad faith arguments for this, and celebrate Jaquaysian design.
Make no mistake, there is a race by tech companies to normalize use of gen AI as fast as possible across creative fields, before sensibility within law can coalesce.
So fight back: reject using it in your workplace; inform friends sharing funny AI image memes; and mock its use to ardent backers.
Better a pig than a fascist
In any case:
The cover for City of Red Waters, a Blades in the Dark setting by Ash McAllan. The sun shines through a reddish haze, silhouetting tall trees that rise from a grim swamp.
Coming next week: The City of Red Waters, a new setting for Blades In The Dark by Ash McAllan.
Explore the complex city of Inverrouge where opportunities for decadence, ambition, or monstrosity await those willing to seize them.
Featuring new heritages, backgrounds, vices, crew types and more.
Miss spelled "Railgun" as "Railfun", and ain't that the truth of the matter...
I get all that, its more that the game I'm running has no GMing guidance. I don't mean "very little GMing guidance", there is literally no GMing guidance in the entire game.
It makes it a struggle to say the least.
Game design? Easy, I get it.
GMing? How the fuck do I do this???
Congrats on the successful kickstarter!!!
