As a shoddily bodied person, I feel so, *so* blessed to be surrounded by people who always include me and never get upset when my disability prevents me from attending events or doing things.

It’s such a weird experience, grieving for people who are still alive. The thing that always catches me is the joy of finding something they’ll love and wanting to share it. Then remembering why you can’t. Even after other emotions fade, this is the one ‘hit’ that always stops me in my tracks.
