If you are upset because you think your favorite characters are woke or the stories are progressive, then I’m sorry to say but you never understood the characters or the stories. Comics are political. Sci-Fi is political.

A child whose world is lost when politicians reject science. A baby sent across an ocean of stars to seek the safety of another land. A refugee embraced by America who uses his great power to help everyone on Earth. A kind and humble hero who challenges a cruel and narcissistic billionaire. A man who can be anything who chooses to be a journalist for truth and justice. A symbol of hope pushing back against fear. A smile. A friend. This is the time for Superman.

This is the time for Superman.

The Marchand piece comes off quite poorly, and he never really makes his case. He took one slightly self-congratulatory quote from Reali (on a well-deserved farewell media tour) and turned it into a mean-spirited takedown.

Also, I disagree with you on this being a show for young people.
