I'd so really love to take JD Vance to Zajta (Eastern Great Plain, Hungary) and rub his nose in the pig shit in some of the knackered farm yards, and show him the outright crushing poverty there.
But it's a great place to live. As an Orbán crony, obviously.

So the concrete complaint is that we offer a price for a segment (no blocking of the train as sold-out) but don't have a res. available? I know it seems like a nuance, but in the DB universe, price and seat availability are usually two different things, even if a train has mandatory reservation.
Being able to shower without worrying about getting the bathroom wet is also a clever invention!
Turning into a trainspotter's dream up there 😆. Anyway, I'm a big fan of pragmatic solutions...

Unwittingly ended up on this at Aldekerk after neither the #crossborderrail RE13 nor the replacement bus in Venlo turned up (or maybe I didn't manage to find it). I took a #crossborderbus and this monster. Love a bit of nostalgia, but not great for prams and bikes...

You forgot Vaterstetten! 👍👍👍
I voted, again (mayoral runoff) and to my pleasant surprise, the SPD candidate beat the CSU incumbent convincingly. Kudos to the Freie Wähler who remained neutral. Very glad to see the back of Herr Spitzauer and excited that we finally have a female mayor!!!

I voted! (Kommunalwahl Vaterstetten/Ebersberg)
1 sided vinyl!?
Nobody wants to put any costumes on, but we can try and keep another tradition alive!
It's school holidays and I am hosting a build-a-PC workshop with my son 😊
That would speak for the going ahead and fighting it out later option.
If it was me, if NS refuse to help, I would buy the extra ticket and fight it out afterwards or just turn up, explain the situation to the Eurostar train attendant with tickets/print-outs, and hope for the best. And mention the connecting train in Brussels as well, even if it is a separate ticket.
OK, didn't know it was a through ticket. But he's trying to make a charter at 09:28 which isn't part of the ticket? If the delay in Brussels will be >=60mins then maybe he can get a new ticket and claim the cost from NS, assuming they haven't offered him an alternative.

I'm not so sure, because it's a different carrier. And AJC is about continuation. But he would have the right to a refund I think and can then rebook (more expensive, I'm sure...)
Can you explain the situation? An itinerary that was in a journey planner now isn't, or did the timetable itself change? And the wish is to be changed on to a faster/earlier train from a different provider in order to make everything work again?
Let me know if you change your mind 😅
I thought I had read it and thought there wasn't a concrete timeline yet, sorry...
Ah OK, so it's just the reality that's unfortunate 😆 Safe travels!
Isn't it a good thing if DB have the info?
Probably not?

Although reading between the lines of the translation, it looks like the main problem will be running Hungarian trains on the line. If others have ETCS-compatible trains things might look better (if and when the equipment on the line is approved).
Great! I confess I didn't get to flagging it anywhere yet 😊
Termination was missing on the drive, surprise surprise. Fixed that. Localtalk works with my Beige G3/G4 😊
Progress, it now can somehow boot the harddisk after I plugged in an external SCSI CD-ROM drive with termination, even though it looked before like the drive was terminated. Confusing...
