The joys of taking public transit.
At a stop serviced by two bus routes:
1) 07h56 Bus A doesn't arrive;
2) 08h00 Bus B arrives at 08h15...15 minutes late (it runs every half hour), and is so packed it's clear it's prior run was dropped; but
3) it still arrives before the 08h11 Bus A.
Cherry Manhattan (or is it a Cherry Rob Roy?), recipe from The Glenlivet website. While the actual recipe calls for Glenlivet 12 year-old, I used Glenlivet Nadurra 16 year-old.
Arrived at work at 08h15. Signed on, opened some docs, started working. 10h00, Microsoft pop-up advises a restart is required to finalize some updates. Restart now or schedule future restart? Scheduled it for 15h30, at the end of the day. Microsoft at 12h45, screw you, we're doing the restart now.
My wife has gone to bed more than once thinking about complex work-related problems and then had dreams about our deceased blue-point Siamese cat sitting on her chest explaining solutions, woken up, scribbled them down, then realized in the morning that the solutions actually work.
We used to get called to meetings with our then-Director-General (the best ever DG) to answer file-specific questions, and most of the time as she explained her concerns to us, she'd figure out the answer to the question she had, and we'd just enjoy the coffee and donuts. Easiest meetings ever.
I've always wondered about that flight...
And I highly doubt he's read anything related to Just War Theory in his life.

This is just as stupid a move as the CPC cutting the budgets for the prison farms. It's almost as if we're trying really hard to prevent any form of rehabilitation.
While doing everything he can to expand access to alcohol & allow alcohol consumption in public spaces. But he complains about drug use in public spaces & shuts down safe consumption sites (don't get me started on people's reactions to being told pubs are safe consumption sites). Make it make sense.

Pre-COVID the cafe under my office used to have apple fritters the size of my head; they were always generously glazed and had real apple pieces. Sadly, while the cafe remains (although merged w/ its sister location at the other end of the complex), the apple fritters have disappeared from the menu.

I backed a kickstarter for a DnD 5e compatible game setting and part way through the designers released a draft of the manual, which included some AI art. The backlash was immediate and loud, and they pushed back the project release date in order to get real, human-produced art (at their cost).
She's not likely going to be anything more than a backbencher, but still...
