LEGOLAND Windsor re-issued the original Park Map for its 30th Birthday LEGOLAND Windsor turned 30 Years Old in 2026 and to celebrate their 30th Birthday, they re-issued the original Park Map from opening day way back in 1996 for the week of the anniversary. So of course I made the trip across to grab one for myself and check out some of the other 30th Anniversary offerings like Birthday Cake Guy, the giant birthday cake in The Beginning, Confetti Popcorn and the Birthday Milkshake. And of course, I also went racing on Minifigure Speedway, the fantastic duelling roller coaster.

🎉 #LEGOLANDWindsor has turned 30 & they brought back the original 1996 Park Map for a week to celebrate! I headed over to snag one, sample some of their birthday treats - like Confetti Popcorn & Milkshake Party along with my first race of the year on the Minifigure Speedway roller coaster!

I visited Mickey Mouse at Tokyo Disneyland It's time for my second visit to Tokyo Disneyland! After returning to Tokyo from Osaka, I got another chance to take The Parks for the Thirty-Fourth - Tokyo Drift to the third ever Disney Castle Park and this time I took advantage of smaller crowds to not only knock out a few more heavy hitters like Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek but also to indulge in that most Tokyo Disney of pass times: snacking! So many Mickey shaped goodies and of course it wouldn't be a Disney trip to Japan without some popcorn complete with fancy bucket! Mickey was definitely the them of the day, as I also took in the Club Mouse Beat stgae show at Showbase in Tomorrowland and of course dropped by Mickey's House in Toontown to visit the big cheese himself, where I found him in his iconic Steamboat Willie outfit!

Annnnd, got all my travel sorted for the #F1 #BritishGP now too. I’m using three different routes across the four days (direct coach from London on Friday & Sunday, coach to Milton Keynes + Shuttle Bus on Thursday, train to Milton Keynes + Shuttle Bus on Saturday)

Not a bad way to start I think!

This will be my first #F1 Grand Prix in person (3rd time at Silverstone). 4-Day Landostand GA+ Ticket, so not in Grandstand but with a dedicated viewing area + folding chair, Lando Norris t-shirt, flag & tote bag. Get to see Practice, Sprint Quali, Sprint Race, Qualifying & the Grand Prix itself!

I can’t believe this fancy Tokyo Hotel actually let me stay there The Parks for the Thirty-Fourth - Tokyo Drift hits the rails one more time as I make my way back to Tokyo from Osaka on the Shinkansen, with another obligatory Ekiben on the way! Once back in Tokyo, I checked in to my third hotel of the trip and by far the fanciest - much fancier than I had realised it was when I booked it: The Tokyo East Side Hotel Kaie. For not much more per night than I had spent on the other hotels, this one really blew me away with the size and quality of the rooms and how plush and well appointed eve the common areas such as the lobby are. I managed to drag myself away for a brief trip to Kasai Rinkai Park and up yet another observation Ferris Wheel, the Diamond and Flower Ferris Wheel, before retiring to my spacious and stylish hotel room for a dinner of Konbini snacks and treats from Family Mart - including my first ever Curry Pan!

I went to Chessington Winter’s Tail…Oh no, I didn’t! Time for a bit more UK Theme Park Christmas action with my visit to Chessington World of Adventures' Winter's Tail event, part of my efforts to get up to speed with my new Sony Alpha 7C Mark II. This trip included riding Mandrill Mayhem once again, seasonal dining with the Turkey Christmas Dinner Loaded Fries & Christmas Tree Ice Cream, a trip to see animals including the beloved penguins as well as A OWL & a visit to the Sea Life Aquarium, music from the JIngle Voices carol singing show and entertainment on stage with the Chessington World of Adventures panto Jack & the Beanstalk.

Hakugei put me into a roller coaster frenzy at Nagashima Spa Land It's time for The Parks for the Thirty-Fourth - Tokyo Drift to jump onboard another Shinkansen, taking me to Nagoya to visit a home grown Japanese theme park for the first time - Nagashima Spa Land! It's home to a roller coaster that became a bucket list item for the trip as soon as I started looking into what roller coasters Japan had to offer: Hakugei, a woodie-steel hybrid coaster from Rocky Mountain Construction. And since I was there, I got to experience other incredible coasters such as Steel Dragon 2000, flying roller coaster Acrobat & Schwarzkopf classic Looping Star and more!

I saw LEGO Santa in LEGOLAND Windsor at Christmas! My Christmas London Tourism adventures continue with my next trip to LEGOLAND Windsor, to check out the LEGOLAND at Christmas season! With some attractions closed for the low season, LEGOLAND Windsor celebrates Christmas with special entertainment offerings like Elf Training Academy, the Nutcracker's Band playing live Christmas music, the chance to meet LEGO Santa and the evening Festival of Flurries Show featuring the friendly LEGO Snowman. I also checked out the Pizza & Pasta Buffet Restaurant - including their Christmas Pizza offering - and attractions like Autumn's Riding Adventure and the (Ice) Dragon Roller Coaster! Plus, armed with my brand new Camera, I took another look around Mainland to check out its special Christmas decorations and scene changes.

I won the Mario Kart Universal Cup at Universal Studios Japan The Parks for the Thirty-Fourth - Tokyo Drift racks up its third theme park with my first ever trip to Universal Studios Japan! As a big time Mario Kart fan, I of course had to get on Mario Kart Koopa's Challenge again to win the Universal Cup, but there was so much more in this action packed and extra long park day - including my first ride on the brand new Donkey Kong Mine Cart Madness, another first with the sole remaining Jaws: The Ride in the world, Jurassic Park the Ride (also in the dark!), The Flying Dinosaur, Hollywood Dream The Ride, SPY x FAMILY XR Ride, Yoshi's Adventure and Villain-Con Minion Blast.

I took my new Sony Alpha 7C II out to LEGOLAND and Sea Life this weekend to test it out & I’ve just been reviewing the video it shot for the first time. The image quality is just staggeringly high. I’m very happy with it. I still have to get more used to using it, but the fundamentals are amazing.

The second proper day of The Parks for the Thirty-Fourth - Tokyo Drift sees my first ever visit to what is widely considered the best - and certainly the most beautiful - theme park in the world, Tokyo DisneySea! This packed day includes the major attractions of the new Fantasy Springs expansion - Anna & Elsa's Frozen Journey, Rapunzel's Lantern Festival and Peter Pan's Never Land Adventure. Plus, entertainment like Believe! Sea of Dreams, fireworks & more as well as Tokyo DisneySea mainstay attractions from Aquatopia to Sindbad's Storybook Voyage, the Venetian Gondolas and much more! And in between all the attractions and shows, I found the time to eat iconic Disney food offerings like Mike's Melon Pan and the Little Green Dumpling Mochi as well as yet another serving of Japanese curry at the Casbah Food Court (where they pretend it's Indian Curry)!
