Recently started biking for real, and holy f-ck - the cars. I swear to absolute fucking God. The cars man. I've never in my 30+ year life seen so many stupid fucking idiots in traffic. Blind motherfuckers. They are making my blood boil. Today someone decided it was a great time to make a U-turn in the middle of the street. I kept distance but the car was jerking and was indecisive and just stopped forcing me to go right on the curb making me fall head over the handle bar and crash. Not a care in the world the driver just looked at me and drove off. Never in my life have I seen so many stupid people that can't drive. And I've had a drivers license for over 20 years soon.

A common thread among newer cyclists is realizing just how awful drivers are. There are things you simply don't notice — behavior that has been normalized — when you mostly drive. Biking, walking, or rolling through the world changes that.

They could bring in more corrals but the dockless parking I think was one of the selling points. I get what you're saying. The company could do more enforcement too.

Lime does the same here. It doesn't mean that bad parking or people moving them (for the lulz) doesn't happen.

I don't remember the history of why CoE doesn't do the operation.

They do have parking policies but aren't super well enforced. I tried to get them to sort one nearly office but the complaint process was so difficult I started giving up.

They need to penalize the riders more.

Annoyingly stressful day at work but I used the summer bike for my commute this morning.

There is a reason that we do not have MLAs decide on electoral boundaries. Tossing out the Electoral Boundaries Commission and replacing it with a UCP-dominated committee is not just a bad idea. It is really bad for democracy. Ask the US, ask Hungary. This is not normal!

I legitimately think that reducing car dependence would improve a lot of social issues stemming from isolation/lack of community, probably more than we know.
