How many years could people ignore what the Pope said when it was some foreign guy speaking a funny language. Pope Bob says it in the language and accent they understand and can't hide it.
We have my mom’s place, so in livable shape, but needs major upgrades. Plumbing being the biggie.
I got pre-40s plumbing here! Get your pre-40s plumbing!
It’s probably supposed to beam eagle behind a soldier, but it looking like a demon is fitting for the actual heresy and blasphemy. And I’m UU.
I was raised in a Unitarian-Universalist church, but went to Catholic schools from K-12. So not a Catholic at all, but was educated by it (12 years of religion classes). And let me just say, those adult converts and their evangelical hangers on have me calling them heretics. They are assholes.
No, I will be saying, “My single, my single is dropping, is dropping” from the Queen of Jordan episode
Raised in a UU church, but went to Catholic school from K-12. Beliefs are complicated, but ready to go to war with Pope Chicago Bob.
As a Chicagoan, I can narrate. "Listen to this fucken guy." is what the Pope thinks.
Und die Roma in die Nähe von Euch? Die Roma, die in der Schweiz, leben?
Meiner Meinung nach sind die Leute in Europa viel rassischer als sie denken. Was ist ihre Meinung zu den Roma Menschen?
You learned your lesson. So, what is your view of the Roma people in Europe?
Goddamn he's hot in that photo. Excuse me while I go act like Blanche and fan myself.
I had a German teacher actually do that. Nothing like hearing those thoughts actually in German.
My European racist test is to always ask about the Roma people. Most times they fail that test.
AI has its uses, but won’t replace everyone. But change scares a lot more people than any of those same people realize.
I’m a working artist, so I have a view of this. I work as a RE photographer. And in my field, the work of a photographer isn’t going away. AI is used for manipulating images after the shoot (putting in a blue sky, adding or removing furniture). But the artist still has to create the image.
Shout-out to every other Gen Xer that was holding their breath the entire time for the first five mintues of the launch

I did have the positive version of this once. Flying to Montreal, I had my usual window seat. A lady asked me to switch with her 1st class seat so she could sit with her friend. I know I’ll never have that experience again though
I appreciate what the Germans did. The Hitlerbunker complex is under a parking lot in the middle of apartments and hotel aparments. I disovered this while taking my garbage out when visiting Berlin, and staying in an apart-hotel.
New Orleans to Chicago in one day, with a two hour stop in Dexter, MO to visit a friend.
I will say reading Canterbury Tales after learning German helps. It’s easy to see the Germanic-ness of Middle English.
The bf and I went to Palm Springs to visit friends. I had a work conference in Vegas, and to spare him the Vegas, he went to visit a friend of ours in Eureka. It boggled my mind he had to change change flights, take two hour flights and never leave CA.
I think you did just describe a Saturday morning by myself at 29, but it was 2006.
I worked at Northwestern Law for a decade before I became a professional photographer. I would have totally gone to law school for fun. But not at that cost.
Ahhh... altmodisches Judenhass
I live in Chicago, and was blasted by many many many YouTube ads. The joy I have by no longer seeing those ads, with the added benefit of no discourse. Ahhhh, Calgon took me away!
I'm in IL-03, which is close enough to 09 that my YouTube was filled with her ads when I watched anything. And all of her ads were she was a fighter, against the establishment and Fuck ICE. And considering Fuck ICE was the sentiment of literally every candidate in IL, she didn't say what she'd do.
Lucky! I’m next district over, so the number of ads I’ve seen for that race…..ugh…..
