Some municipal issues that were brought up include: A need for meaningful consultation where residents' voices are truly considered and a desire for third spaces in the community to provide opportunities for connection and building relationships between neighbours.

UPDATE: Proposal to terminate volunteer advisory committees is withdrawn! ✊🏽💥

This is the 2nd time in 3 weeks that WTC members have fought back against policies that harm equity-deserving residents, resulting in withdrawn proposals and amendments. 👏🏽❤️

CAPE, CANE + WTC Letter to City of Vancouver on 2026 Budget.pdf

We just submitted an open letter to Vancouver Council signed by 250+ residents, including >100 physicians & other health professionals, urging them to withdraw the proposed 2026 budget. The budget puts climate action, public health, & community safety at risk. @womentcities.bsky.social
