Wow. The absolute fresh hell that is waking up everyday as a civics teacher and reading the news. At least my 12 and 13 year old students know enough about the constitution and separation of powers and checks and balances to understand how fucked up these people in government actually are.

As a civics educator I feel like I’m doing my job when my students recognize the absolute disregard for the separation of powers that they see unfolding in the nation.

Teachers, keep doing your jobs. You are guardians of democracy!
