He absolutely is eyeing a presidential run and our simple asses would vote him in like we did with Trump.
At this point we deserve every bit of misfortune that befalls us because we pick stupid people.

In the US, White Evangelical Christians were the perfect melding of intersectional bigots who had the ear of flocks of impressionable, undereducated, easily manipulated people who empowered the literal personification of the opposite of every tenet they claim to hold dear…a deal with the devil.
I’m sorry you suffered the very predictable outcomes of your bad choices Argentina. But don’t worry, Americans are dumbasses too, and we also have to learn the hard way. One day we’ll all vote for people who promise to make our lives better instead voting for making the lives or others worse. 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
When the deal with Musk was finalized on Twitter, I immediately shut down and deleted all of my data from the platform. I know what “free speech” means to conservatives. Sure enough, the first day he was officially in charge the “hard r n-word” and every other horrible slur imaginable was trending.
I’m extraordinarily critical of the Israeli government. To my friends who support Israel, understand that I’m extraordinarily critical of the US government too, both Republicans and Democrats. Right is right and wrong is wrong no matter who’s doing it.
In this war, both Israel and the US are wrong.
Netanyahu and his Likud leadership needs to answer for their misdeeds when this is all over…no reputation sanitation. Americans are living with the consequences of the buffoon they empowered, thinking him “strong”, when in reality Netanyahu flattered him into the war we find ourselves embroiled in.
@rbreich.bsky.social is a national treasure.
I’ll even say this…I’m a huge proponent of this wealth tax, but I lay down a challenge that can change my mind:
Name ONE solvable societal problem that is not still a problem because someone, somewhere profits off of it staying a problem.
I’ll wait…
Even if the Democratic Party was a party of the people 62 years ago that is not the case now. Party “leadership” is squarely aligned with the same Big $ donors that give to the GOP. The Civil Rights Act was BOLD (much needed) change. Today they only do incrementalism which only serves their donors.
If you’re someone who enjoys immigrants being abused, understand:
1. They come primarily because of work.
2. Businesses pay slave wages w/no benefits.
3. They don’t pass those savings on to you & your family.
EVERYONE deserves dignity and life, no matter where they come from.

These three take a lot of flak for beefing with the pope…but they’re fictional characters. There’s someone REAL right now beefing with the pope…any guesses who would do that?
Is it just me or does this “church” look hella sketch? This is the most generic sounding church name I’ve ever seen. 🤔🧐🤨
I like Swalwell’s policies and politics. Having said that, he has to go. Not just from his campaign, but also his current seat. I know margins are slim, but this isn’t something we can overlook. We are not MAGA, and we don’t protect predators, even when it’s politically inconvenient.
Period.
“Trump says U.S. will blockade Strait of Hormuz after Iran peace talks fail”
This idiot may be the most environmentally friendly president in history. The world will finally be forced to end its fossil fuel addiction. Not the carbon neutrality we wanted, but the carbon neutrality we needed.

They typically have a High factuality rating. You are more than welcome to your opinions. But the Democratic Party (and its hardcore loyalists) would do well to understand why they keep losing. They can only keep choosing their Big $ Donors over their voters for so long before it costs us all…again.
38 years is a long time to do anything, and I thank you for your service in education. I’ll leave you with this article, and will say no more because your heels are dug in, but others reading may understand my point with more openness. Good day to you.

I’m not arguing that point. My point was that those of us who are comfortable and have our basic needs met and can feel the benefits of the economy need to understand that the poorest of the poor don’t live in our comfortable bubble. We need to meet them where they are and speak to their struggles.
May I ask sincerely? Is it your opinion that talking down to the people that you need to turn out to vote for your preferred candidates more effective or less effective in encouraging them to do as you like? Is ignoring what they re struggling with and shaming them a way to encourage participation?
Understood. I’m glad you’re able to see the forest for the trees and can appreciate things on the macro scale. Unfortunately the poorest among us don’t have that luxury. They live day to day and are ever on the precipice of falling to pieces.
I’m not arguing on the merits of your statements. I’m saying, as a social worker who works with extremely impoverished, angry people…Dems telling them what you just said fell flat because they didn’t feel those benefits on their level. The “price of eggs” argument was something they could feel.
Trump was the cause. What I’m saying is that Dems kept touting the economy recovered to people who still had to choose between keeping the lights on and buying groceries. The economy messaging fell flat with paycheck to paycheck low income voters because they don’t have stocks or ret. accounts.
I’m a nobody and few will read this, but my warning to @housedemocrats.bsky.social and @democrats.senate.gov is the truth…you cannot coast on simply not being the GOP. The “blue tsunami” will be for nothing if you you don’t change.
You can either have big corporate donations or the people…not both.
I’m a social worker and think what many here miss is that yes, the economy recovered and got better…but poor people (my clients) didn’t feel those benefits. All they knew was groceries were still high and Trump successfully appealed to them. Israel was also an albatross around Biden/Harris’s neck.
This is all true. But Biden was also beholden to corporate interests. I believe had he put the breaks on Israeli support, he’d have been re-elected (or Harris elected). Many of these Blue Tsunami Dems are also beholden to corporations and people will be disappointed and they’ll vote GOP again. 😔😔😔
I’ve long said that had Obama not gotten elected, there was no way Trump could have gotten elected. Maybe “Obama Derangement Syndrome” should be a thing…it’s such a crippling disorder it made white evangelical christians strike a deal with almost a literal devil if one exists.
The world would be wise to never, EVER trust in the American voters again. We empowered this lunatic knowing full well what he was about, and why? Because he made stupid people feel “smart” and gave them permission to be the worst version of themselves. Never trust us not to do this again…we will.
Schumer, Jeffries, and virtually all of the Democrat establishment is staunchly behind continuing to fund Netanyahu’s war despite it being UNPOPULAR. People speaking out against it? T.Carlson, S.Bannon, and N.Fuentes. If you think they can’t ride that populism into the White House we’re all doomed.
Unpopular Opinion: The Democratic Party is just as beholden to Big $ donors as the GOP is. Less openly bigoted but they will still keep the systems in place that makes your life suck.
Stop sleeping on candidates who don’t take corporate money. Another corrupt Dem will see the GOP back next cycle.
I became politically conscious around 2000 with the “election” of W. I was saying back then that Season 3 of the hit show “World War” would see the United States as the Big Bad. Everyone laughed and mocked me and said we’re always the “good guys”.
I await your handwritten apologies.
We need to address the root cause of why most people who voted for him did so. Lots of angry, low-information people who felt discarded in largely rural communities that fell prey to the lies the GOP told them. We need to invest in them in a way their liars never did. We can’t thrive without them.
Trump illegally seized Venezuela’s oil supply, now he’s making rambling speeches that gives Big Oil even more money. 🐘’s associated hybrid and electric vehicles with lefties & you voted to stay in the past while the world moved forward. Now we’re all fucked…but Big Oil gets paid. See how that works?
