Solidarity saves lives
"Dozens of agents from multiple agencies swept the building. Agents appeared to leave the Edge emptyhanded, with residents refusing to open doors. After knocking on doors throughout the complex, federal authorities sped away in their vehicles."

"stone soup" by forging deeper connections among the many movements we collaborate with across the globe.
5️⃣ It reminds us that hunger is not only physical. The yearning for connection, community, and purpose is just as urgent and can be addressed alongside material needs.
4️⃣ Its benefits are collective. Organized solidarity generates a common good that strengthens cohesion and shared purpose.
3️⃣ It emphasizes that we already have what we need to move forward. Our communities hold the potential to turn challenges into opportunities without relying solely on external resources.
2️⃣ It highlights the importance of human agency. There is always something, however small, that we can do to transform our reality.

A traveler arrives in a village facing hunger and scarcity. She places a pot of water and stones on the fire, declaring she’ll make soup. Intrigued, villagers gather. As she praises the soup, they add what they can: a carrot, lentils, salt. Together, they create a meal that nourishes and unites them

“Fear is a survival response… So the real trick, the only hope, really, is to allow the terror of an unlivable future to be balanced and soothed by the prospect of building something much better than many of us have previously dared hope.”
-Naomi Klein
Reminder…Self care is going to be critical to our survival.
Please look after yourselves mentally, and physically.
Let’s also not forget to look after one another. 💙
