My favorite is she would ask them to do thumbs up/thumbs down/thumbs sideways to get them interacting with the content when they were shy. Low tech but seems to be effective on students of any age.

I still use tricks I saw my kid’s K teacher use in 2020 in my classes. They are amazing.
