Bodes galaxy and the cigar galaxy in black and white. There’s a gradient of light pollution present along with many stars, and a faint galaxy in the top left.

Quick WIP again, let’s hope I have enough clear nights to finish it

I like the winter but getting a blizzard in late spring is the worst

Good here but cold

An SCT will probably be best yeah. Focal length is king for planetary, the longer the better. To hit the sweet spot I was thinking maybe a 9.25”.
I like RCs but man they’re finicky

If you had to pick a telescope to cover both planetary imaging and high focal length deep sky imaging (think galaxies and planetary nebula) what would you pick and why? #astrophotography #astronomy

That's so cool! I'm jealous

Unfortunately closer to Bortle 6 😬

Officially moved in to my first house! It’s very surreal to finally own a home.

Just gotta have someone help you fit them

Hell yeah. I like sea salt spray a lot personally, if you haven’t tried it before I’d recommend it.

Volumizing shampoo and conditioner works wonders

I really wish they’d stop stapling on extra effects. It doesn’t need a draw a card effect. Just have it have the first line of text not everything needs to draw cards ramp me and do my taxes

I got owned as well, but it makes sense

It really sucks. I’ve resigned myself to playing lower power stuff just to keep IPs like this out of my decks.

I thought this was a post about Weird Al (the singer) for a second

The California Nebula. Bright, glowing dust clouds stretch across the frame, surrounded by stars. A blue glow of oxygen can be seen rising from a large expanse of red, orange, and yellow gases.

The California Nebula, named after the state its shape mimics. It took two nights to photograph this nebula using narrowband filters.

The triangulum galaxy, its spiral arms streching out from a small glowing core. Stars are present around the galaxy, and bright red areas of hydrogen gas are visible from afar.

I spent six hours photographing the Triangulum Galaxy from a local parking lot. I wish light pollution wasn't so terrible here.

The heart nebula, in false colors typical of narrowband images. In this image, red is sulfur, green is hydrogen, and blue is oxygen. The heart shaped gasses envelop a bright core, with stars scattered around.

The Heart Nebula

I spent 10 hours photographing this nebula from a nearby parking lot.

NGC 6946 - The Fireworks Galaxy

I spent 5 hours photographing this galaxy under extra dark skies.

The North American nebula reclines below the Pelican nebula. Dark red-orange swirls of dust are present, with hues of blue and green above. A blanket of stars is scattered throughout.

North American Nebula and the Pelican nebula

I spent 11 hours photographing these nebula in narrowband. I know I've spent a lot of time photographing this nebula, but it's one of my favorites, and I do a little better each time.

What mount are you using with it?

On the other hand, maybe I finally have the excuse I needed to get a big SCT for planetary imaging, now that I won't have to haul my gear down and up the stairs every time.

In other news, I'm finally going to have my own place: no more parking lot photos. The only bad part is its surrounded by very tall trees so my patch of sky just got significantly smaller.

At it again. Probably won’t be finished for a couple more nights, but have a WIP of the Christmas Tree nebula
