According to internal documents from the election committee of the Tesla works council, the number of employees at the plant has dropped to 10,703.
That is a decline of roughly 1,700 employees (or nearly 14%) compared to the 12,415 workers employed during the last works council election in 2024

My third read of '26. Pretty good so far! Very informative and a heap of data for a possible further theorization of race.
The first book I've finished in 2026. Mentally, I'm in the Deep South, I guess.
Second read of the year
BP's had a hell of a 20 yrs:
✅2004 -"Greenwashing" rebrand w/ "Beyond Petroleum" campaign. Invent "carbon footprint" deflecting blame.
✅2010-Spill 134 million gallons of oil into the sea.
✅2020-Claim ambition to shift from oil/gas to clean energy.
✅2025-Abandon such claims.
Born 105 years ago yesterday. One of the all-time greats!
This is one of my favorite photos - it shows collaboration between 3 of the most important Black leaders of the 20th century. Anna Arnold Hedgeman is often cropped out -- yet she was as influential as Malcolm X and A Philip Randolph. Here, she's identified as Rosa Parks! Please, learn your history!
The Lenbachhaus in Munich is home to some of the finest examples of the New Objectivity art. If you happen to be in Munich don't miss the chance to visit the gallery!

Trump 2.0's attack on universities and gutting of funding for research is nothing less than an attempt to create a new episteme, one that replaces research and experts with "do your own research" influencers and scams.

RIP to one of the greatest voices of the exploited and oppressed.
Love Ann Petry! 'The Street' was a delight and so is 'The Narrows'.

Challenges to Zionism in the late 1960s and 1970s sparked an effort to redefine antisemitism focused on defending Israel while attacking the political Left. This resulted in the IHRA definition and the assault on Palestine activism we see today.
Mandatory summmer reading, no doubt!
The great thinker of a free Palestine!
