Under 16s took part in the Coates Talent League pre season testing which included father-son pair Koby Bewick and Tevita Rodan who will play for Calder Cannons this year. Both performed well scoring sub 3 seconds for 20m and sub 8.3 for Agility.

Sandringham and Oakleigh with their final hitout before the season starts proper next week. Sam Grilj impressed through the middle with his run and carry and also bagged 2 goals.

Here are 10 names to keep an eye on for 2025 AFL Draft

Hopefully get to see Floyd Burmeister, Phoenix Hargrave and Jacob Newton find a home in the rookie draft I think they have some value there. Nguyen will be added straight to Essendon’s rookie list.

Essendon definitely identified some needs tonight. Gerreyn likely a key forward who can ruck, Clarke a skilled defender in the Redman mould, Unwin a speedy forward who is versatile and Zak Johnson a midfielder/defender with strong leadership qualities.

Melbourne select Xavier Lindsay with Essendon’s original pick 9, if Essendon held that pick Lindsay would have been my preferred outcome.

Night 1 Phantom Draft, plenty of picks will shape the draft starting with the Crows and expect some mind games between Demons/Tigers/Saints with some potential minor swaps in picks.

I plan to have my 1st Round Phantom Draft out tomorrow morning and will also do one for Night 2 on Thursday arvo.

Late or rookie I would say it’s a guarantee.
