If I were religious, I'd point out that Mike Johnson, for all his "Christian" posturing, refers to an Old Testament quote – he can't use a New Testament quote for his attack on the Pope. Johnson, Vance, Hegseth, et. al., love the effin' fire and brimstone, but they know ZERO about the beatitudes.

Republicans are allegedly concerned with making government more efficient, but they're wasting millions giving employees time off for non-federal holidays and offering superfluous "prayer services" featuring (likely paid) speakers.
And, of course, only right-wing Christian views get promoted.
Some folks think that for rights to be valuable, they have to be exclusive, but what makes rights valuable is that they are *defended.*
And the kind of country you can be most sure will defend your rights is the country which would defend anyone's rights.
