I stayed awake until Smith’s wicket fell. Woke up once, just after Jacks went, then again at 6. Our best result of the three in terms of fighting for it, shame the top order didn’t do as well as the tail.

I’m facing up to the pain and staying up for a bit. I assume it won’t be too long 🫣

Trouble is, I like Bazball (not at the moment but generally) and I don’t want Baz to go. Just a few adjustments 🤣

I know that there’s no way England are going to score another 228 runs. I know that. However, I can almost guarantee that, like last night, I will be waking up regularly to check the score because I can’t quash that tiny glimmer of useless hope. #England #Cricket #TheAshes

Landlord: “What can I get you?”

Man: *stares at bear sitting at the bar wearing an ice cream cornet on his head* “Who’s that?”

Landlord: “That’s Ian. He’s the pub mascot. He is in honour of my favourite Arnold Schwarzenegger film”

Man: “Cone on the bar bear Ian?”

Landlord: “No, Predator”.

Well, if I had to eat an olive after every paper it would either make me mark them really fast to get it over with or put me off starting at all 😂 Rather you than me!

The most startling one is the pharmacy technicians - we’ve dubbed their uniform ‘Clinell Green’ because it’s the same colour as the packets of universal wipes. Perhaps even brighter 😂 Our pharmacy tech can’t keep a low profile, that’s for sure.

Postman blue is our SLT trim colour and you’re right, it’s greyish blue. I can’t remember if there’s a separate research colour or not.

English #SLPeeps #SLT - what are your thoughts on the new #NHSUniform for us? I quite like the colour (though the one I ordered didn’t fit at all 🫣)
