for some time i thought the logic that led to the phrase was "they're experienced so you'll definitely learn stuff with them". knowing what i know now though it could very well be those bullshit preferences of society wanting to favor adults instead of minors

Seems like today I'm gonna be on the street, the hotel is no longer accepting self pays, only vouchers which we tried to get with no luck, we didn't get an apartment yet because apparently we were missing something on the application, and we don't have money to pay for another hotel yet

the cabal of aged 21 and under furries on x are treating their mass reporting harassment campaign as a victory and are making lists of more incest artists to report like good little fascists
so cool
Happy for you!!
genuinely was my first thought when i saw this (sonic was the second)
what an ignorant mindset. good luck
(also before pgt comes eat me and tell me there were plug 'n plays distributed in brazil i mean practically, those seem like they were more for the rich kid while the common people didn't get one at all)
i didn't even think it could be emulated though. a lot of people in the 2010s seem to have thought plug 'n plays were automatically not emulatable due to being self-contained (thinking it's discrete logic or something? at least i thought like that) and i was in that board
coming from a country where you do not have the experience in the us where you're just given a plug 'n play as a kid and they don't exist at all that video was what taught me about plug 'n plays in the first place. it's also how many saw vt03 for the first time myself included
i never knew those videos were written by someone else. it makes so much sense now
Because like while it is cool I still have this it's a bit of a pain to hook up with the composite and 4 AA batteries lmfao

Screenshot of a hacked version of Tennis for the NES where the court is now in the middle of a grassy field, the judge is now a big caterpillar, and two characters who look like Master Higgins from Adventure Island are standing on the side. Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1tO0H9QRpI
There's also Balloon Fight but it's aliens, Donkey Kong but he's a cat or something, Donkey Kong 3 but this time he's a spider, and my favorite: Tennis but now it takes place in Adventure Island. This video goes over all the N-Joypad games (there's original ones too): www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1tO...
Some of the suspiciously familiar-looking games built into this thing look pretty cool: there's Pac-Man but you're a bug laying pellets (eggs) instead of eating them, Popeye but you're a bear romancing a penguin, Excitebike but it's cars, and Mario Bros. but you're... is that Gazoo? (All undumped.)

Coincidentally just came across a bootleg NES with a "disc drive" that takes these weird CDs of different sizes. BUT it turns out the CDs just press down buttons on the fake disc drive and load different sets of built-in games. Wiki article on this marvel of ingenuity: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N-Joypad
one of the major forces pushing for greater queer acceptance in the 2010s was literally queer teenagers on social media who had been able to link up with others and gain a voice in society for the first time. honestly fuck anyone who would take that away from the next generation
so, so, so much godawful regressive shit gets done via bad-faith moral panics whipped up using "concern about the kids" & i feel like the only way to counter this is to normalise Actually Listening to them and making them part of the conversation not just something to be talked over and about
