I know I'm not done with the other one yet, but I felt inspired.

Hey, the world hasn't ended tonight!
I decided to whip up a lil Discord server for the YT channel if anyone wants to have a chat, chill or play a game or two.
Seriously? With *checks notes* 32 followers here and 263 subs on YT? Could be dead tomorrow, let's have fun today!

Aaand it's out! #mtg #edh #commander
What's better than making 8bit music in a park while you wait for the new video to go live?
See you in ~1 hour on YouTube!
Bonobos share 98% of their DNA with us, and you won't even say thank you for their absolute generosity? Nobody asked them to share, yet they do. Remarkable animal.
I know I just shared my frustration, there are many things I like of DaVinci, but I believe this level of frustration is not always worth it.
I also accept being told to go out and touch grass. I'll do that with pleasure at this point.
Point is: I failed, I still have to through Fusion, because DaVinci hates when your clips are not all in 16:9 like your project.
Rant over, now to be a tad more constructive. If you know the kind of videos I make and you can suggest a better free software option, PLEASE, let me know.
I literally just spent two whole editing sessions trying to make a pseudo-3D card flip effect that could work for my workflow.
I had zero problems making it, it was a pain making it REUSABLE AND CONVENIENT so I don't have to fiddle with Fusion every single time and do everything in Edit mode.
I know DaVinci is extremely powerful and you can do incredible things, but it seems it fights back each time I try to make anything reusable, which is kinda MY JOB every weekday.
It's often unintuitive, clunky and prone to have you manually repeat the same operations that could be automated.
Tutorials are often terrible, almost always telling you what to do, but never WHY, so you can actually learn and expand your capabilities. Going back to the many community threads you can find, it often seems people just assume you have a great knowledge of video editing and filming in general.
More often than not, if you stray even slightly off the beaten track, you find threads of people not even understanding what you are trying to do and/or DaVinci fighting whatever you are trying to do because DEAR GOD you are using a clip with a different resolution from your timeline.
Now, don't know if it's my professional bias as a programmer, my approach in general or whatever, but man, all the resources to learn DaVinci are so bad.
Finding specific information is often near impossible, so I end up wasting hours for a - in theory - simple effect.
Allow me a lil rant.
Premise: I am no artist nor video maker, I'm a programmer. With my channel, I'm learning as I go. I started out with near-zero knowledge about video editing.
I wanted to go with free software but also something powerful, so I ended up with DaVinci Resolve.
Making some progress!
(I swear I am working on the next video in the meantime, I finally got time to record it the other day)
I think I'm starting to cook something.
I started learning Little Sound Dj.
To familiarize with the application, I thought Skies Forever Blue on original Game Boy hardware could be fitting.
So uuuuh
I got a refurbished iPad

Ham: thanks, I'm cured
New video (hopefully) later this week!
Brain: go on Scryfall, search for "Overcharged Amalgam", we need the picture for the video
Hands: sure thing, boss
I swear I'm working on a new video!
Production is going on much smoother than previous ones (consider the actual script was completed around Christmas).
Have this in the meanwhile. Why? I have no idea.
Hey, yo, wassup. I tend to forget I'm here too.
WELL, guess who can finally share what they have been working on for the last few years??
