Once of the best things about getting older and losing ego is that I'm not snobby about music anymore. If I like it, it's good. If it's not for me, that doesn't make it bad. Just means it's not for me.
British Singer Dusty Springfield , You don’t have to say you love me.. 1966 Soulful Sunday
I spent 16, SIXTEEN years fighting this crap.
I can’t believe it 😭
Murmur, the band’s debut studio album, was released 43 years ago on April 12, 1983. Produced by Mitch Easter & Don Dixon, Murmur remains, according to music journalist Tim Peacock, “one of the most compelling and otherworldly debut albums in rock history.” Share your Murmur memories in the comments.
I was lucky enough to have seen all four by 1973.
I'd like to cheat a little and go back and revisit the 1972 Melody Maker Poll Winners concert at The Oval, London.
Jack Bruce & Rory Gallagher also played impromptu sets.
Here's some pics that I took and a couple of pages from the programme.
The Rolling Stones, Hyde Park, London 1969.
Roy Harper, Alexis Korner, Screw, Battered Ornaments, Third Ear Band, Family, King Crimson, The Rolling Stones.
There's a fleeting shot of my friend and I sitting under a tree around 1:30 into the film.
I was 14 at the time.
Four more CD's added to the stock.

This is so well done. 👌
Bought this in 1984 after hearing it in a hi-fi shop in Charing Cross Road, London. At that point I didn't own a CD player.....
It was an approximation of the first vinyl album that I owned in 1965 - The Rolling Stones Volume 2 - seemed like a good place to start.

😀I would venture that he is fluent in gibbersih and double dutch ......
"It sorta starts off real slow ... and then fizzles out all together."
A nice line in self deprecation from an album capturing the band in their prime.
Four best selling albums added to the stock.

First album that I ever owned (Jan. 1965) was The Rolling Stones Volume 2.
Exile is a distillation of Beggars, Bleed & Fingers and is for me their best album.
With Floyd I've always been a Barratt man but The Wall has grown on me over the years - many fine layers.
Exile - but both are great albums.
