Why are disability advocacy and awareness important?
Because history has consistently shown the disabled community that if we do not speak up and advocate for our needs, we are often just forgotten and left to rot.

Offer fully remote positions?
Make the recruiting and hiring process accessible and equitable to disabled job seekers?
Honor reasonable accommodations?
Inclusion is just a buzzword without action.

Job hunting in 2026:
Another day. Another auto-rejection email.
As someone who has lived with a disability all of their life, the only “cure“ I am interested in at this point is a cure for ableism and inaccessibility.
Placing a divider wall very close to a toilet can make it inaccessible for many wheelchair users.

Disabled parents are no less suited to be great parents than non-disabled parents.

When chronically ill and disabled people post about their struggles, they are likely seeking solidarity, not pity.
