This fear is called the ‘Activity Trap’. And sadly, it is more than a fear for many Disabled people. Earlier this year, our campaigner Mikey was on @goodmorningbritain.bsky.social alongside Shaun, who had vital social security support taken away for being physically active.

Freedom Comes in Many Forms - A Poem - Get Yourself Active Read Lee Goddard's poem about the freedom and independence that aids can give us as Disabled people.

"These aids don’t cure, nor claim to heal,

But they restore the right to feel—

To move, to work, to love, to be,

To live this life with dignity."

Beautiful poem from Lee about the feeling of independence we get when we're supported right 👇
