I've always wondered if my book ratings are too kind, lots of 4s and 5s from me

Though that might just be a sense of bias, I'm far more likely to finish the books I enjoy

Finally back at the point where I can buy more than one book at a store and feel somewhat confident that I'll actually read them all within a few months of buying them

This is the furthest I have ever made it into a novel so far.

It's not much but as a perfectionist with mild ADHD, it was always going to be slow-going.

Is it any good? Not really.
Will it ever be published? Probably not.

But I'm having fun writing it, and learning, which is good enough 🤔

I read @stephenking.bsky.social's The Long Walk about a decade ago after finding a copy on my dad's bookshelf. It's a story so special that I remember it vividly years later.

I never expected it to get a film adaptation, but I'm glad that it did. It's gritty and violent but also deeply moving
