🥳🍾Wishing a very happy birthday to Hi Life - 35 years on the UWS!
Not only is Hi Life a neighborhood staple, it's a place that played a special part in our lives in the same way it helped to shape our community.
Congratulations Hi Life! Here's to 35 more 🥂
2 years, 3 months, 2 weeks, 5 days 🎗️
That’s how long the October 7 hostages were held before Ran Gvili was brought home.
Grateful to stand with UJA Federation, Bring Them Home Now, and our community to unveil a memorial bench in Central Park this past Sunday.
#TheyAreHome #TheyAreFree
Great afternoon joining the Central Park Conservancy for their Community Celebration at the Davis Center! 🌳🍁
🌷A beautiful start to spring joining the 87th Street Community Garden for their first volunteer day of the season! Thank you to Greg Stevens for inviting me! 🌳👨🌾
On Easter Sunday, I had the chance to spend some time with our Officers at the annual NY Auto Show.
While many were enjoying the holiday with family, these men and women were on the ground, helping visitors and connecting with the public.
I remain grateful for everything they do, every day.
I was proud to join my friend, Eli Gross, for the opening of his exhibition “1956."
Much of the exhibit was dedicated to the families of those in Israel on October 7th and featured pieces taken from the destroyed home of a family who survived.
It was a moving evening and I was honored to be there.
I am proud to be hosting a fundraiser alongside my friend Eitan Szteinbaum for our next Assembly Member in my home district of the UWS, Stephanie Ruskay.

Congratulations to the newly sworn-in Officers and a special congratulations to my friend and President, Carmen Quinones.
As Passover begins, Chag Sameach to all celebrating! 🍷🫓
I joined Manhattan Shomrim, Deputy Commissioner Alden Foster, and Rabbi Vorhand to discuss strengthening support for our Jewish community across the UWS.
Passover reminds us of the need to stand together & ensure every New Yorker feels safe.
Black background with a colorful infinity symbol and text stating April is Autism Acceptance Month with a New York City Council seal.
April marks National Autism Acceptance Month.
The Council is committed to uplifting the voices of people with autism. Autistic New Yorkers deserve our full support, as well as our dedication to making our communities accessible and open to all.
As Women’s History Month comes to a close, I was proud to join the Greater NY Chamber to celebrate.
Honored to recognize @council.nyc.gov Speaker Julie Menin and all the honorees.
Grateful to @virginiamaloney.bsky.social for joining us to present the award alongside our Chamber President and me.
Happy Holi from the 38th Annual Phagwah Parade!
Proud to join with our New York City Department of Correction Desi Society & New York City Department of Correction Galea Officers, community leaders, and elected officials to celebrate Phagwah/Holi. 🎨
This morning, I had the honor of attending the wreath laying ceremony at New York’s Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
We gathered to honor those who served, to reflect on those who never returned home, and to acknowledge the more than 1,500 service members who remain missing.
This evening I had the pleasure to join with the NYPD for their Pre-Passover Safety Briefing and dinner with Officers and community leaders from across the City.
Had the privilege to join our NYC Dept. of Correction Emerald Society Officers for the St. Patrick's Day Parade!
Before the parade I had the opportunity to join with both the NYPD & FDNY Emerald Societies to celebrate.
An honor to join with our men and women in uniform. Happy St. Patrick's Day!☘️🇮🇪
Last stop of the evening!
Great to join our NYPD 20 Precinct Community Council for their monthly meeting!
A great evening joining @galeabrewer.bsky.social for her UWS Spring Town Hall!
As a Board Member of 24PCT Community Council, I was proud to help honor two heroes.
Assistant Chief Edwards ran toward danger when IED. were thrown outside Gracie Mansion.
24PCT Officer Nilda Quezada was just inches away, yet stayed focused on protecting others.
Proud to recognize their service.
I was proud to speak in support of Speaker Menin's five-point plan to combat rising antisemitism at the last full board meeting of Community Board 7.
While the Board chose not to pass the resolution as originally authored, I look forward to seeing the Speaker's plan fully passed in the Council.
☪️ On Monday I joined our officers and those in our care on Rikers Island to mark Ramadan and break fast together.
Sitting down, listening, and bringing those conversations back into our work is one of the most meaningful parts of this job.
Ramadan Mubarak to all those celebrating!
📣 NYCHA residents deserve to be heard!
Our Public Advocate has said it plainly - NYCHA remains the worst landlord in our City. The issues that tenants face cannot continue to go unheard and unaddressed.
Join us tomorrow. Stand up and call on the Mayor to open these hearings to ALL tenants.
On Sunday I had the chance to celebrate my first Phagwa/Holi with neighbors from across the City. 🎨
Wishing a joyful holiday to everyone celebrating. I was humbled by everyone's kindness and had a great time joining in the celebration.
This weekend I was proud to celebrate Lunar New Year in Manhattan’s Chinatown & at Brooklyn’s Annual Lantern Festival.
It was a privilege to join families & my colleagues in government to celebrate the year of the fire horse!
Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous new year. Gong Hei Fat Choi! 🧧🐴
I was privileged to join the Greater NY Chamber of Commerce for our annual Black History Month Awards Ceremony at the close of last month.
Congratulations to all of this year’s awardees, it was an honor to join and celebrate!
At least, per their email, it was a "Columbia residential building." So I think an apartment not a dorm. However, to your point, I do not explicitly know and have seen conflicting information.
At 6:30am this morning, ICE agents entered a Columbia dorm and detained student Ellie Aghayeva without a judicial warrant.
This should outrage and alarm all of us.
We must stand up for our community and demand accountability against ICE agents illegally abducting our neighbors. This must end.
So proud to join the NY Dominican Officers Organization this evening to honor my friend NYPD Lieutenant Edward Arias! 🇩🇴
Four years ago, Russia launched its full scale invasion of Ukraine. The toll has been staggering.
Yesterday, I joined the Heart & Valor Foundation and received artwork from a six year old Ukrainian girl. Her drawing captured both the cost of war and her country’s strength.
