It’s not good to be the worst person in the world, but there are millions of them. They used to sit at the end of a bar being ignored. No the get together with others and get amplified because of the internet. Reposting…”look at this guy, the worst person in the world!!!” only encourages it.

Thank you!! Every three days somebody blows up here as the worst person in the world and my response is invariably, “Who?”

Design for the lowest common denominator. Started with beige suburban house exteriors with just the right amount of poll tested “natural stone” or brick.

The auto industry seems to be coalescing around ever increasing sizes of non-aerodynamic SUVs, which makes me question this as a theory.

Are all Republicans not “originalists?” George Washington intentionally made hlf his army sick by innoculation at a time, so they didn’t get smallpox all at once, and then could go fight without fear of getting sick at all.

“You have to understand folks in these white spaces feel left behind.” No, I don’t. I understand that they saw brown people being allowed on the same ‘train of progress’ they were on and decided to get off.

Every convoluted contradictory answer these expeditions produce can be summed up by, “I like the concept of racism, but I don’t like being confronted by my personal racism.”

There are two political bubbles in the U.S., “multicultural liberal democracy” and “white ethno-christo nationalism,” and NYT safaris to rural Iowa or CNN “Townhalls” too “understand the Republican voter only serve to normalize the second.

In 2004, but greatly increased in 2016/2024, “you are living in an info bubble and only know the views of your friends, is why you are surprised at this election result.” Was expanded to “you must weight opinions outside of your info bubble equally to those of people you respect,” and here we are.

I was going to say the same thing. I was in the upper deck on a blustery Bay Area evening and the garlic fries were just as good. My buddy and I were amazed the concessionaire even took the time to pile the large handful of fries that fell off, back on top of the basket.

With the John Ireland and 10th St bridges closed, how does one get into/out of DT St Paul from Summit/Cathedral via bike these days?

I’m just imagining the exurban Republican F-250 driver, who has just been living in fear of Iran for the past 47 years, “$60 a week extra for gas adds up, but small price to pay for the peace of mind not having to deal with the terror Iran was inflicting upon me.”

“Dinosaurs kings of the Liz—“
“Actually, what we consider dinosaurs are more closely related to birds.”
“Oh…I suppose…I mean there are pterosaurs and such.”
“Oh, no. Those are lizards.”

There’s been at least one Merlin around pretty consistently for the last 5(?) years or so. Definitely a good place for a Merlin to take a rest.

Last summer I had a Pileated jump up directly in from of my from the side of the trail like a grouse or pheasant while mountain biking at Cuyuna. Life flashed in front of my eyes like I was about to be the first victim in a new Jurassic Park movie.

This reminds me, I’d like to revise my favorite dinosaur based on the other days discussion, from Ankylosaur to Pileated Woodpecker.

Pete Hegseth’s beautiful warfighting warriors don’t win wars, folks with clipboards do, but nerds have no place in a manly man army.

Wouldn’t decriminalizing drug paraphernalia, and deregulating bathhouses, be ignoring not focusing on them?
