GOD I feel this one. There's so many cultural touchstones that just wasn't allowed to interact with at all because the parents said no and I was conditioned into absolute unquestioning obedience to church and family authority figures (in that order).

So if I'm reading this right, you reshape the iris to get emotions across because the actual eye shape is A) static and B) very similar in color to the skin? That's clever.
