I loved doing this episode with dear friend and first-time guest Eric D.Snider!!
Steve Martin the man, the myth, the legend!
My God the innocence, the mischief, the awful style. The vibes are truly immaculate. Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio
Fatih Akin's powerful drama #Amrum, opening Friday, examines the insidiousness of fascism through a coming-of-age lens.

Indigenous editor Leo Koziol highlights five Indigenous films to keep on your radar this year, speaking with the folks making them happen, serving up screen food for the soul, a basketful of magical mushrooms and fire ants dripping honey from the sky. boxd.it/34e
"I know Joss Whedon said some bad things about me," says Jeunet. "I don't care. I know if Ioss Whedon had made the film himself, it probably would have been a big success. He's very good at making films for American geeks - something for morons. Because he's very good at making Marvel flms. I hate this kind of movie. It's so silly, so stupid.' About the changes he made to Whedon's script, Jeunet jokes: "Too bad, Joss Whedon!"
I could never hate Alien Resurrection because its existence led to the immortal phrase "Too bad, Joss Whedon!"
"It’s a movie about an older woman who wants to fly, but in the end she discovers she can fly even higher than she imagined."

A predictable #NoKings take from Jeremy Peters: A small turnout will be ominous, a large one will be meaningless, all protests from the left are merely a "primal scream," and none of them mean much. The NYT has always loved protests as history but hated them as news. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/28/u...
Michael Almereyda and Courtney Stephens’ new doc isn’t a biopic so much as a study of a few tumultuous decades in US history, and how ideas––even and especially the most absurd––can seep into culture.
Read @leonardogoi.bsky.social's review as it opens in theaters:
As I edit the forthcoming @tfsbside.bsky.social episode I forgot to mention this, but the last 20 minutes of HE GOT GAME is possibly the best 20 minutes in Spike Lee's career. It *kills* me that it doesn't have a proper physical release commensurate with its quality as one of his best films.
We write about space, not because it is easy but because it is hard.
