Sephiroth hasn’t really cared if they have sex or not for a while. He’s always left it to Genesis to initiate—and Genesis always seems very pleased when they do fuck—so he’s happy to go along with that. And it does feel good.

But he’s long since learned it’s best not to be greedy for affection.

Genesis not being sure how to feel the first time he wakes up in the same bed as Sephiroth, realizing they didn’t have sex. They just, like, spent the night talking and enjoying each other’s company.

He wants to push into the warmth, but can’t help but worry his growing feelings are one-sided.

Noctis starting things off by making out with him and being the first to get off before Cloud is handed over to the three others to enjoy while their prince lounges in the pillows to watch.

Noctis could cure Cloud’s depression by inviting him to spend just one night with him and his boys.

Haven’t watched since it originally stopped airing in 2012, so if I did do a rewatch, I’d have TYBW to look forward to.

But, man. Bleach really kept me company throughout middle and high school. I’d wake up early to groggily watch the latest episode because I just couldn’t wait until after school 😭

Makes sense that I love Rilian so much. Just another traumatized little guy with memories that have been thoroughly fucked up while an evil force grooms him into their puppet. A consistently delicious meal.

Yet, for all the opportunities presented to see other people or sleep around, they only ever end up in each other’s bed. At most, those opportunities exist to become dirty talk, spurring each other on to be more possessive.

Their relationship just becomes another quirk within the friend group.

Any suggestion they seriously break up and find a healthier relationship is like talking to a wall. Neither thinks they’re still together.

Even if Genesis gets pissed when they’re out and someone hits on Sephiroth. Or how quiet Sephiroth gets when Genesis casually mentions he’s been dating around.

Then it’s only a matter of time before they’re making out in some corner and leaving early, a couple minutes apart to remain “inconspicuous”

But if the behavior flips, Sephiroth coldly venting about Genesis while Genesis stews silently, everyone knows it’s best to keep them in separate rooms.

As long as Genesis is willing to rant about Sephiroth, and Sephiroth ignores Genesis’ existence, everyone knows things can go about business as usual.

There’ll inevitably be a moment Sephiroth breaks his silence in a quiet enough tone Genesis instinctively stops talking to hear so they can argue.

No one believes they’re separated in any kind of meaningful way. If anything, it feels like a really weird kind of foreplay they’re both in deep denial about.

That, and their communication styles have always been a bit incompatible. But they always figure it out before things completely implode.

Divorced Sephesis who become background noise in their friend group.

Both of them invited to everything as usual. Conversations carried on like normal while the two inevitably argue, disappear together, and return less than put together but content again. Enjoying the peace before it repeats.

Maybe Genesis finds out through all of this that Sephiroth has sexual trauma tied to his father’s obsession with him breeding. So they start fucking. Just to give Sephiroth positive associations with sex.
