Motorway services question on Pointless. You'd imagine this would be a specialist subject for county cricketers. 😎

Good read this and an interesting perspective 👇

As each season goes by Hampshire seem less and less bothered / interested in their day to day role as a club. It's all the little things that the likes of Surrey and Somerset do that make a difference. Sadly these are very much lacking at Hampshire.

Here we are then, the first spectating of the season: Hants 2's v Notts 2's.

100 partnership from Ali Orr and Fltecha Middleton sending a message to the selectors after the Essex debacle.

One thing about the County Championship is how you hear four days of radio about the dog who’s taken up residence in the groundskeeper’s hut, a 1987 tour to India, & a kid emailing in about GSCEs, & suddenly there’s two hours of whipping around the country to keep track of edge-of-seat commentaries.

Ok, an attempt, the key word here, to navigate through the tricky spirit of cricket debate after last week's incident in the Bangladesh-Pakistan ODI. I expect this will polarise opinion.

I've made a start and a work in progress. As ever, recommendations welcome. I'll add hashtags for the new season. I shouldn't be in it but it is default as the creator!

This from Elizabeth updates that County clubs have spoken up. That someone thought it was ok to try and apply the gagging in the first place speaks of the undeniable disconnect with county cricket.

Food for thought!

I like how every two years at a T20 World Cup everyone goes “wow the associate cricket teams are much better than we thought, we should do more to assist their development and grow the global game” and then nothing changes

Brian Lara was part of a question on today's episode of Pointless. Just explained to Mrs C, with gusto, how watching Lara was pure theatre, an absolute rollercoaster of brutality.

Worth paying good money to watch.

Watched a couple of games there. Lovely location. Lyndhurst is a most pleasant town too, just a short walk from the ground.
